Chapter History





Through all the accomplishments, challenges and changes, we have continued to progress toward our vision of becoming the foremost resource of business analysis knowledge in Northeast Wisconsin.


2008




Sept 23, 2008
The Chapter Kick-Off Meeting is held at J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc. in Neenah, Wisconsin, with approximately 80 individuals in attendance


  • Chapter Kickoff Networking SessionCarol Lapp, IIBA® Past VP of Chapters, presents the background and history of the IIBA® and steps to forming the chapter, via teleconference
  • Roxanne Miller, President of IIBA® Madison Chapter and Owner of Requirements Quest, speaks about an alliance with the Madison and Southeast Wisconsin chapters and encourages participation in Wisconsin Business Analyst Development Day (WI-BADD)
  • Twenty-one IIBA® members sign the petition to form the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter
  • The meeting is a complete success due in large part to the efforts of Benjamin DeBoer, Tom Ditzler, Tia Emling, Perry Hansen and Chad Wege

Notification is received from the IIBA® Board of Directors indicating the chapter petition was approved and charter was granted
Nov 11, 2008
The Chapter Initiation Meeting is held at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans


  • Small group discussions are facilitated by Benjamin DeBoer and Tia Emling to determine what IIBA® members and potential members hope to gain from joining the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter
  • IIBA® members elect the following inaugural Board of Directors:
    • President - Chad Wege
    • Secretary - Darcey Denkins
    • Treasurer - Cheri Schettl
    • Vice President of Education - Sandi Kappus
    • Vice President of Marketing & Communication - Benjamin DeBoer
    • Vice President of Member & Sponsor Relations - Tia Emling

The Chapter files with the Internal Revenue Service

Tia Emling steps down from her post and the Board confirms Linda Palla as the new Vice President of Member & Sponsor Relations

Feb 24, 2009
The Board approves the creation of the Vice President of Events and Director of Strategic Initiatives positions
Mar 6, 2009
The Board confirms Perry Hansen as the Vice President of Events
Apr 14, 2009
Trissential becomes a Chapter Advocate sponsor
Apr 15, 2009
Requirements Quest becomes a Chapter Advocate sponsor
Apr 19, 2009
Benjamin DeBoer steps down from his post and Perry Hansen assumes the role of Vice President of Marketing & Communication, and relinquishes his current post as Vice President of Events
May 19, 2009
ZyQuest becomes the Chapter's first Champion sponsor
May 20, 2009
Newly revised bylaws are reviewed and adopted during a Special Meeting of the membership
June 10,2009
The Board confirms Connie Hames as the new Vice President of Events and Tom Ditzler as the Director of Strategic Initiatives
June 19, 2009
The Chapter files for incorporation with the State of Wisconsin
June 23, 2009
The Chapter roster reaches 50 paid members, in addition to eight Board members
June 25, 2009
The Chapter officially becomes incorportated in the State of Wisconsin
June 2009
Tammy Miller, Oshkosh Corporation, becomes the Chapters first CBAP
