About Our Chapter

In July 2008, the spark was ignited when a few business analysts discussed the idea of forming an IIBA® chapter in Northeast Wisconsin. Shawn Diamond: Third IIBA® Northeast Wisconsin Chapter CBAP®!

Shawn Diamond, Principal Business Analyst at Oshkosh Corporation, has become the third IIBA® Northeast Wisconsin Chapter member to earn the Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) certification.

Deb McCormick appointed as VP of Education and Certification

The Chapter Board of Directors has approved Deb McCormick as the VP of Education and Certification. She will be completing Ben DeBoer's remaining term, which expires in February 2013. She currently hold the position of Director of Certification.

The VP of Education & Certification is responsible to design the Chapter's professional development programs to increase competence of the business analysis community. He or she is responsible for promoting Business Analysis professionalism at the Chapter level through delivery of educational curriculum at applicable meetings, events, seminars, and workshops.  The educational program delivery is designed to help members achieve certification as Certified Business Analysis Professionals (CBAP®).

Deb has 15 years of business analysis experience.  She is currently a Senior Business Analyst at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®).  In addition to performing business analysis on projects, Deb is also responsible to provide coaching, mentoring, and training for other business analysts, and to perform quality assurance.  Deb was intimately involved in developing Thrivent Financial's requirements methodology including processes, procedures, guidelines, and templates.

Business Analysts are gaining momentum in the business industry, and we believe that supporting one another is our primary responsibility and work to fulfill our duties and deliver on our obligations.

The Northeast Wisconsin holds a bi-monthly meeting providing opportunities for networking and educational development. We provide an open forum for connecting with others in the Business Analysis community, and seek to foster and develop those relationships. Meetings are open to the public, and you are welcome to bring a friend or colleague.

We strive to continually increase awareness, comprehension and knowledge of Business Analysis skills and disciplines, and work to promote their application.
